Overview
This walkthrough covers everything in one go — creating a campaign, setting up your storefront, onboarding participants, and reviewing results. It's a great starting point if you're new to Fundlet, or a useful refresher before launching a new campaign.
Step 1: Create the Campaign
- Open Fundlet from your Shopify admin.
- Click New Campaign.
- Enter the campaign name, description, and upload a cover photo.
- Set your fundraising goal and payout structure (flat percentage or per-product amounts).
- Set a start and end date if you want the campaign time-limited.
- Click Save (the campaign stays in draft until you activate it).
Step 2: Set Up Your Storefront
- In the campaign, go to the Storefront tab.
- Link the campaign to a Shopify page or collection that will serve as the landing page.
- Open Online Store → Themes → Customize and add the Fundlet app blocks to the page template — the campaign header, goal progress bar, and product grid.
- Save the theme.
- Preview the page to make sure it looks right before going live.
Step 3: Add Participants
- Back in the campaign, go to the Participants tab.
- Click Add Participant and enter their name, email, and optionally a photo.
- Fundlet generates a unique shareable link for each participant automatically.
- Share each participant's link with them — when supporters visit via that link, the participant is credited for the sale.
For larger groups, use CSV upload to add many participants at once.
Step 4: Activate the Campaign
- Return to the campaign overview.
- Click Activate.
- The campaign is now live — the storefront is visible and participant links are active.
Step 5: Monitor Sales
During the campaign, check the dashboard to see:
- Total revenue raised so far
- Progress toward the goal
- Sales broken down by participant
- Individual order details
Step 6: Close Out and Export
When the campaign ends:
- Set the campaign status to Closed (or let it expire automatically if you set an end date).
- Go to the Reports tab and export the CSV.
- The report includes every order, the participant it was attributed to, and any custom field responses.
- Use the report to calculate and distribute payouts to the organization.
For more detail on any of these steps, see the individual guides linked from the Learn page.
