How to Use Discount Codes to Run Fundraisers Across Your Entire Store

Fundlet ties every campaign to a Shopify discount code, so you can track fundraiser sales even when shoppers aren't using the campaign landing page.

Overview

Sometimes the campaign landing page and participant links don't fit every situation. Maybe you just want to give someone a code and let them shop your entire store — while still having all those sales tracked through Fundlet. Because everything in Fundlet is tied together by discount codes, this works automatically.

How It Works

Every Fundlet campaign has a Shopify discount code associated with it. By default it's a 0% off discount — meaning it's purely for tracking, not for giving a discount. You can change the discount amount at any time using standard Shopify discount settings.

To find your campaign's code, go into the Discounts section of your Shopify admin and you'll see a discount for each campaign.

Step 1: Share the Discount Code

Copy the campaign's discount code and share it however you like — email, social media, a group chat. Tell your supporters: "Support our fundraiser — use this code at checkout."

Step 2: Supporter Shops Normally

The supporter browses your store, adds whatever they want to their cart, and proceeds to checkout. At checkout, they enter the discount code. That's it — the order is now tied to your fundraiser.

Step 3: Sales Appear in Fundlet

Back in the Fundlet app, the order shows up in your campaign dashboard just like any other fundraiser sale. All the tracking, reporting, and payout calculations work exactly the same way — because everything is built together, it just works.
