Overview
Every fundraiser has to answer one basic question: how do supporters actually get what they bought?
Fundlet handles this with two fulfillment options — flat rate shipping and pickup. You can turn on either one, or both, and let supporters pick at checkout. This guide walks through where those settings live and how to decide which ones to use.
Step 1: Find the Fulfillment Settings
Go into your campaign, click Edit Campaign, and scroll down until you see the Fulfillment section. That's where all of your shipping options are controlled.
Step 2: Set Up Flat Rate Shipping
Enable shipping and set a flat rate shipping fee — for example, $10 per item. Every supporter who chooses to have their order shipped pays that same rate, so there's nothing to calculate and no surprises at checkout.
Step 3: Enable Fundraiser Pickup
Turn on Allow Pickup to offer fundraiser pickup instead. This is often the free option shops offer to fundraisers: the shop drops the product off with the fundraiser organizer, and the organizer and participants handle distribution from there.
Once you've set your options, hit Save Changes.
What Supporters See at Checkout
When someone shopping your fundraiser adds an item to their cart and clicks Checkout, they'll see a short prompt asking how they'd like to get their order, with two choices:
- Ship to me
- Pickup
They pick one and continue through the Square checkout as normal.
Choosing the Right Option
Which option fits depends on where your supporters are:
- Flat rate shipping works well when supporters are spread out across different areas — extended family, alumni, or anyone buying from out of town.
- Fundraiser pickup can cut shipping costs entirely for local campaigns like schools and sports teams, where most supporters are already close to the organizer.
Plenty of campaigns turn on both and let each supporter choose whichever is easier for them.
