Overview
Once your campaign and storefront are set up, the sales process is simple and works seamlessly with your existing Shopify store. Fundlet uses coupon codes to track every sale back to the right campaign.
Step 1: A Supporter Adds a Product to Cart
On the campaign landing page, a supporter clicks a product and hits Add to Cart. After adding, they can continue shopping the fundraiser or proceed directly to checkout.
Step 2: The Coupon Code Tracks the Sale
At checkout, you'll notice the campaign name and a coupon code applied automatically. Fundlet uses Shopify coupon codes to track which sales belong to which campaign — no manual work required.
The supporter completes checkout as normal.
Step 3: The Order Appears in Fundlet
Jump back into the Fundlet app. The campaign dashboard immediately shows the new order and the updated sales total. Click into the campaign to see a breakdown of:
- Units sold
- Total sales
- Payout amount (based on the payout you configured when setting up the campaign)
Step 4: Drill into the Order
Click into any order to see the full order details. You'll see that the order is tied to the campaign's discount code and also tagged — so you can track it in two ways:
- Fundlet's built-in reporting — sales, payouts, and participant breakdowns all in one place.
- Shopify's reporting platform — use Shopify's native reports to filter by tag for more detailed analysis.
