How to Use Custom Theme Templates for Fundlet Campaigns

Assign different Shopify page templates to different campaigns so each fundraiser can have its own unique layout, images, and content.

Overview

This is an advanced feature that lets you give different campaigns different layouts — unique text, images, videos, or any other content specific to that fundraiser. Because Fundlet uses Shopify's native tools throughout, this is done entirely in Shopify without any special app configuration.

Step 1: Create Additional Templates in the Theme Customizer

  1. Go to Online Store → Themes → Customize.
  2. Navigate to the Fundlet Campaign template section.
  3. Create additional templates (e.g. a "Rock Template", a "Spring Campaign Template") with whatever layout, images, and content you want for that specific campaign.

Each template can have different sections, different imagery, and different text — fully customized per campaign.

Step 2: Assign the Template to a Campaign via Metaobjects

This part is done in Shopify, not in the Fundlet app:

  1. In your Shopify admin, go to Content → Metaobjects.
  2. Find the Fundlet Campaign metaobject type and locate the specific campaign you want to update.
  3. Open the campaign entry and find the Template field.
  4. Change it from the default template to your custom template.
  5. Hit Save.

Your campaign will now use that template on the storefront.

Notes

By default, all campaigns use the default template. You only need to make changes here when you want a specific campaign to look different. If you have questions about setting this up, reach out and we can help make it work for your store.
